New year, new you. Me too!

The new year is a good time for change, including a social media strategy refresh. We are closely watching to see what impact Facebook’s big algorithm update will have. 🤓 In the meantime, here are a few tips to give your social media marketing a boost:

✔️ Update your photos. Your patients and clients LOVE to see YOU. Your online presence should look just as you do in real life. If it’s been longer than a year, you are due for updated pics. Guilty as charged here, but no more, lol 😅—more new pics will be rolled out here soon.

✔️ Boost Facebook posts on a regular basis. In most cases, boosting posts at least 3 times per month is a must if you want to expand your visibility and keep in touch with your patients or clients—while not overstepping your welcome. I suspect this will be one of the biggest impacts of the latest Facebook algorithm update—if you don’t pay to play, your average page posts simply won’t be seen (even less than the past year)👀. For those of you already boosting, note that ad fees will increase as more businesses embrace boosts/ads.

✔️ Focus on quality not quantity. AdEspresso by Hootsuite says every Facebook user has more than 1,500 stories competing for a spot in their newsfeed at any given time. However, only about 300 of those stories are chosen to appear in the newsfeed. Only post when you have something good to say/share (value the relationships you have with your followers). You can get away with posting less if it’s high quality and boosted. With this strategy you may even notice your best metrics yet! 👏👏

✔️ Revisit your goals. Why are you on social media? 🤔 Is it to expand your visibility? To grow relationships with your patients/clients? To increase awareness for certain procedures/services that you offer? To strengthen your online reputation? Then look at the content on your social media — is your content and engagement in alignment with your goals? If not, then it’s time for a strategic shift.
