You Should Outsource Your Social Media When…
Have you been struggling to get anywhere with your social media? Maybe you’re just trying to get started… or you are trying to get to the next level, but you can’t seem to make progress.
While some practices do an awesome job managing social media internally, there are still many practices out there struggling.
Here are 5 signs that you may need to outsource your social media.
No One On The Team Is Interested/Supportive
This may seem like a no-brainer. If no one on the team wants to be involved with social media, wouldn’t it be easiest to just outsource it ASAP? One would think. However, we talk with doctors on a consistent basis that are dealing with this exact scenario. Just last week I heard a doctor say,
“My team has been with me for over 20 years, but no one wants anything to do with social media. I feel like the responsibility is all on me if I want social media for my practice.”
This makes me sad—when teams can’t support the doctor’s vision. The doctor’s time is best spent doing dentistry (unless of course he or she LOVES social media and wants to manage it personally).
No One Responds To Your Posts
Have you found that no matter what you post, no one ever seems to like, react to, comment on, or share your posts? Are you posting consistently but notice that not many people see your content?
When Facebook or Instagram see that no one is responding, they restrict the visibility of your content.
This creates a vicious cycle of limited visibility and thus zero responses/results. The good news is that these results can be turned around.
Can’t Seem To Find the Time
Are you and your team excited about social media, yet no one seems to have the time to post well or consistently? Often this results in social media posting that is sporadic at best, or lacking in the quality or creativity that you envision representing your practice.
Sometimes the less-than-ideal quality is simply due to posting in a pinch, while rushed. If you have an ideal person in your practice to handle social media, see if you can make time in their schedule to manage it. Otherwise, look for a partner that can help supplement their efforts.
For example, in our social media collaboration/”done with you” program, the internal team member only needs about 90 minutes per month to do social media well with us.
Lacking In Skill Set
Do you have a team member managing your social media, yet they aren’t meeting your expectations or vision for your online presence?
We get it.
Whether it’s copywriting, time management, graphics skills, or overall marketing savvy, there are systems, tools, and support that can help make your team member a social media superstar.
In fact, you may not even need to outsource entirely—maybe you only need a few consulting/training sessions to get up to speed, or perhaps a social media “done with you” program is just what you need.
Not Getting Results
Here are some of the reasons why some doctors say they need help. Their social media is:
Not getting found.
Not getting liked.
Not looking good.
Not personalized.
Not consistent.
Not interesting.
Not relevant.
Not applicable.
Not working.
